Martha’s Vineyard radio station honors NYC Melody through music

Music is intimate and personal. But, it is also universal. It can offer nostalgia and adrenaline, tapping into deeper emotions. A local radio station on magical Martha’s Vineyard is reminding us of this.

Next Monday, from 9-10pm EST, the Martha’s Vineyard WMVY radio station will be curating a program to honor the founder of this site, Kate Wilson. Kate felt and understood the classics and the alternative.

As someone who knew Kate, this type of tribute resonates deeply. Kate and I would often find ourselves searching for the “sound” as it tuned in and out the farther up Island we would journey. Her Toyota 4Runner humming, windows rolled down.

Kate, we know you will be right there listening. For instructions for how to listen off Island, click here.
